ORIGIN: Born on Long Island and raised by wealthy parents, Patrick Bateman is a yuppie who lives in a Manhattan apartment and works as a Wall Street investor in 1980.

DESCRIPTION: Tall adult with light skin, steely blue eyes and short brown hair. He usually wears a white-light blue striped shirt, a crimson tie with purple patterns, a dark gray striped blazer, pants with reddish suspenders matching the jacket, and black male pointed shoes. He behaves like a vain man who is as intelligent as he is charismatic, but he is really a devious misogynistic murderer and rapist who even practices cannibalism.

WEAPONS: Axe, knife, chainsaw, pistol.

FAMOUS PHRASES:
- I have all the characteristics of a human being: flesh, blood, skin, hair; but not a single, clear and identifiable emotion, except greed and disgust. También aparece al principio de American Psycho 2, y su hermano Sean Bateman es el protagonista de Las reglas del juego, aunque las escenas de Patrick (interpretado por Casper Van Dien) fueron eliminadas del montaje final, aún mantienen una conversación telefónica en la película.
