A pair of genetic engineers create two slug-like life forms that conceive a female creature together; the engineers name her "Dren" and raise her in secret.
A slender, hairless humanoid with very fair skin, widely spaced blue eyes, a tail with a retractable stinger, and hands at the ends of both her arms (which she initially lacks) and her legs. She matures physically much faster than a human (in adulthood, she can extend fins from her arms and back that allow her to fly), though she tends to behave like a dangerously impulsive child.
